The Dogs of War are a medieval re-enactment group based mainly in the Nottinghamshire area. Our shows consist of authentic displays of combat using sword, axe and quarterstaff, as well as archery demonstrations. We take pride in the fact that our shows are not choreographed - we train to fight instinctively. We also aim to pass on some of our knowledge of this period of time, both through narration during the show and more individual interaction with members of the public. An archery range is also provided for people to try their hand with a traditional English longbow. All our shows are covered by a £5 million public liability insurance policy.
